I know I'm beating a dead horse, but it's frustrating that Miller's only played in 6 out of 15 games this year.

I heard Dennis Allen talking about Ram's knee being an issue that he has been battling for years, and it just got to the point that he couldn't play. DA said it wasn't an incident, just something he had been dealing with, and that they would see where Ram is at next week, indicating that he may just need some time.

In the 2022 off-season Ram had surgery to clean out that knee and alleviate the issues that he had during the 2021 season causing him to miss about half the season.

In June of 2022 he said that he felt pretty confident that he was past the knee injury problems....

I guess not. The procedure that he did have was considered minor, however it seems that there must be more to it. It does explain the decline in his performance, I am just wondering if it is a chronic or career threatening issue. Whatever, it is concerning! I sure would like to see the old Ramczyk back on the field. We need a healthy Ram down the stretch! I was just unaware that Ram was still having an ongoing issue with it until now. Obviously I haven't been paying enough attention.

I've heard Underhill reference it a few times since camp. I got the sense that it's always going to be an issue for Ramczyk.

The fact that he's now missing time (understandably so) suggests it's getting worse...which makes me feel pretty pessimistic about him moving forward.

Clearly Ram has the talent and skill to play RT at a high level, we’ve seen it. Looks like to me he’s hit the point where his body just won’t allow him to play at that level, or perhaps even an acceptable level any longer. Certainly can’t blame him for this. We can be grateful for the great play he did for the team in the past while also acknowledging it’s probably time to move on.

I read last year that his knee problem is degenerative and will only continue to worsen with time. If I can remember where, I’ll link it.

I've heard people say it is a degenerative knee issue, but honestly with the Saints medical staff, it could be anything.

I trust the Saints medical staff as much as I trust DA to go for it on fourth and 1 down 6 from their 39 yard line with 4 minutes left.
