Fletcher Mackel: 2025 Already Feels Like a Lost Season (7 Viewers)

The most clueless hack in New Orleans sports reporting realm with consistently bad takes and ideas.

He’s been throwing a tantrum on Twitter since yesterday. At this point, with how firm he feels about this, it makes me feel great about this upcoming season.

How about we let the full off-season play out, or, I don’t know, see how good our new coaching staff is in comparison to the last shirt show?

Without a viable starting QB, the season is lost anyway. If he doesn5 believe 8n Carr, then it’s a lose-lose situation. I personally believe keeping Carr at least gives us a chance. The key is, we HAVE to find a way to stay healthy!

as I said in the other thread where he was brought up:

The Saints could have the universally agreed upon best composition of 53 players in NFL history and that dork would still try to trade 75% of them

Fletcher Mackel is never ever happy with New Orleans sports teams. He got a little Value Brand Skip Bayless attention by aggravating everybody with his ridiculous trade proposals and he confuses the wayward attention for useful expertise, being neither useful nor an expert.

What route would make it not a lost season? Cutting Carr would not make us contenders either. This is a couple years of rebuilding the roster no matter what.

Fletcher is the worst sports reporter in the local market. He was just on the on the 5'o'clock news lying. He said this means Carr will be the QB after 2025. No, it doesn't, the Saints did not give any new money to Carr. This is so obviously Russel Wilson in Denver 2.0. He is gonna be a post June 1st cut next year. Carr is getting paid what he is owed in '25 via restructured money. 69 mil hit in '26 is big but its very obvious that he's not in their long-term plans when he wanted to test the market and the Saints decided to just pay him the 40m Carr knew he wasn't gonna get anywhere else.

Personally, I think its a mistake chasing 7-10wins in a bad division. If Sanders does fall to 9, he's probably gonna be the pick if Moore likes him enough.

He's pulled up his chair right next to Nick Wright.
