Foo Fighters go old school ticket sales for US (1 Viewer)

No online sales until after the pre-sale. You have to get in line and wait. They are calling it "Beat the Bots."

Like the old days before ticket scalpers got electronic. Sure it won't stop the deals with brokers and mules will still get some tickets but I commend them for trying to get a handle on what has become a huge problem particularly in the larger markets.

Yep, I remember camping out back in the day to get tix. We got front row center for Black Sabbath on the Heaven and Hell tour with Dio, and then met Dio after the show. he commented to us "I saw you all in the front row, it looked like you really enjoyed the show"

He also asked if we camped out to get those seats and when we said yes, he responded "I am honored that you would do that, and if you said you didn't get your money's worth I'd refund you right here"

Great guy, great experience, and all because we could actually purchase tickets without paying exorbitant prices to a broker.

Tickets sold out in less than a min, I was pretty ****** about it. Word is there were only 200 total for sale.
