These guys are my new favorite band. Undisputed. They are talented musicians who have broken from the stereotypical death metal approach: 100 mph drum riffs, tuned down guitar overstrumming and cookie monster growling vocals. Now that I have immensely infuriated everyone on the board here, just hear me out. This group is set apart from all others. When they are playing, undoubtedly, you can tell that they are a different band. I, personally, cannot tell the difference between Hatebreed and Cannibal Corpse. I can however, tell the difference between Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. Why? Because one can understand the vocal ranges and timbres of the singers.
So to that point, Ghost sets themselves apart from other black metal bands.
Plus, they just look very cool. Rumors have run rampant as to who the members are however, no one knows. Until recently. It looks as though, Ghost has a new bassist. And SHE was formerly with Lez Zepplin. Again, very cool band. They are showing their diversity.
