I'm going to preface this by saying that I am absolutely not a fan of his. I think he can be brash, arrogant, obnoxious, and let's be honest, I'm still salty from the times that he has burned us. But with that said, this is still football ladies and gentlemen! Apparently, the Giants have benched him, and we have "Successfully" reaped a few harvests from their mishaps. If he's cut, would you want him here?

A big no here, too. I'd much rather see us put time and effort into developing some of our younger players (Johnson & Troutman come to mind) rather than bring in Tate.

With CGM, Sanders, Callaway, TQS, Cooks, and Kamara I think any snaps Tate would get would take away from our young guys. Besides, with that lineup of targets, I'm not sure where Tate could come anywhere close to getting enough snaps to make his salary a good investment.

With the way WR injuries have been for us this year I don’t really see a downside to bringing in a guy like him. God knows when the next one goes down. Do we really want to get to December and have to go with the WR lineup we just had against CHI, in a worst case scenario? I don’t see how there would be any downside at all to adding depth to a position that has been thin for us this year. And before you say “we’re healthy now tho”, we all know that’s not guaranteed to remain that way, especially this year with Covid also lurking.

but it’s irrelevant if he’s not available.

No for several reasons, but I'll just put this out there from 3 days ago....his wife's posting after his last game:

After the game, a 25-23 Tampa Bay win, Tate's wife Elise Tate joined the fray, posting a 330-word rant on Instagram declaring “I'm lit” over her husband's lack of targets. “It's excruciating to watch and killing his stats this year but you can't have yards on a few to no targets,” Elise wrote

To see the entire rant: It is absolutely hilarious, but would not want the "baggage" that would come with Tate.
