As someone critical of this team’s current situation, we are now officially back to “it could be anyone’s year” along with 31 other teams. Lol. What a depressing season, especially after how it started. If it could go wrong, it did. Hopefully the culture change is realistic and quicker than what it looks to like it is going to take. I mean, who would have thought we would be competitive after the Katrina season? Back to square one, along with the rest of the league.

We need to suck this year and just eat the cap hit if we want to have any chance at being competitive in the next five. If we kick the salary cans down the road again for aging vets, we will never dig out of this hole. Eat the cap, retire some vets, then come out with a clean(er) slate in 2026.

I promise Kellen, I won't hold it against you if we go 3-14 in 2025. I gotchu.

I've been waiting for this season to end since the injuries started to mount (week 5) this felt like the 2005 season (4-12) where you just had to suffer through the semantics of a season before the new beginning started
