Jameis is a good dude with a lot of physical skills. But today just didn’t go well for him at home in Cleveland. 16 for 25 passing with 3 interceptions. He was benched in the 4th quarter in a game that wasn’t yet out of reach. He’s trying to, but it ain’t working. I can’t help but wonder if this is his last opportunity to be a starter in the NFL. The clock is certainly ticking. 😥

This wasn’t an opportunity to be a starter. He’s playing for an injured starter. He plays like a backup on a bad team. He can do that job for the next decade for $4-5 million a year as one of the top 64 QBs in the world, but he’s just not top 32.

He's an excellent backup because he is so good to have in a locker room and he can come into a game or start a couple games in a pinch and deliver/ignite an offense...but as a starter he ends up getting exposed. He can stay in the league as long as he chooses to.

I don't. Jameis is making bank, he's building up his post-football career to be a color commentator in the WWE, and it's looking like the only kind of coach who can get him to play to his full potential has to be a borderline Hall of Famer.

He threw a lot of picks in college and it hasn't stopped in the NFL. He will always be a interception machine.

At this point, he has seen every single defensive scheme known. Many times over. Apparently it's not skill, but memorization and recall that he struggles with, which is what makes QBs elite. Those able to recall and visualize.

He may not have that elite ability. But he will still perform well over a 3 or 4 game span which will earn him a great living for another 5 years or so.
