I'm not putting "other" as an option because that would be ********. If he's not on this list, you don't understand the question.

So, I'm going with whoever wrote baby got back.
 
Yes, I could have added more songwriters to the list. But freaking Robert Hunter and JJ Cale should not get any votes over Paul Simon or Bob Dylan. And I don't want to encourage the temptation of someone to vote for some "also ran" just to be different.

The person who deserves to win is somewhere on that list, so there's no need to have other candidates. Heck, Tom Waits probably doesn't belong. i just put him up there to ease the whining.

Right, even though one of them wrote a large portion of the Grateful Dead catalog, and the other wrote songs for and toured with Eric Clapton and who is still frequently covered by other bands today, not mention a song that was adapted perfectly for a certain QB that wears #9.
