I thought it was actually going to be a good game, but I would have to agree with the people that posted on the game day thread for the game yesterday that Hawaii would struggle to beat the bottom feaders in the SEC. Ole Miss had UGA on the ropes in Athens earlier in the year and our DEs certainly werent running through their line like a flaming sword through butter as they were last night (hot knife doesnt describe carnage accurately).

I assume Brennans performance cost him about $2MM last year with signing bonus / value of contract.

My last rant is the Rose Bowl, they need to get off their high horse and quit subjecting the Big 11 to epic beatdowns by USC year after year, someone will get hurt really bad at some point. I think 99% of America would have much rather seen a UGA-USC matchup than the two lemons that they put on the field, but we must remember that we have to keep the tradition in place. What a load.

September cant come quick enough.

Agreed

I was at the game last night and it was just a joke.

Even the Bulldog fans were having trouble getting into it really.

I would have loved to see USC vs Georgia.

Btw, the barking the UGA fans make on kickoffs is just classic.

Clearly the BCS should have been

Georgia vs USC
Missouri vs West Virginia
Oklahoma vs Virginia Tech
LSU vs Ohio State

"But that's only 4 BCS games"

Yes and evidently there were only 8 BCS worthy teams, considering Florida got handled by Michigan. Otherwise i'd say Florida vs Kansas. Course Kansas will probably end up getting handled pretty good as well.

It took Michigan the entire season and Lloyd Carr getting fired but we finally got to see the preseason #5 team that was stocked full of Seniors actually play like they were meant to play. Didn't help that Florida went out and instead of intimidating Michigan, just got them hyped for the game. Way go Urban Meyer.

USC wanted nothing to do with you guys. They used their ties with The Rose Bowl to set them up for a slaughter against a clearly inferior team. Not superior because USC is that much better than everyone in the country, there were quite a few teams out that there would have given USC a good game (Oklahoma, Georgia, hell probably even Missouri).

The Rose Bowl "as it should be".... right.

This may be the first time I have been mad after UGA killed someone (and that happens pretty rarely in fact). Hawaii had no business at all being in that game. Their pre-game dance was even a disappointment, it lasted all of 30 seconds.

I thought the UGA fans were being a little classless with the 'overrated' chants. Those kids brought that program a long way to make it there and they were getting crushed on the field. There was no need to start chanting stuff like that at them and besides, the team wasn't who put themselves in the Sugar Bowl.

Yeah, it looks like they were way overrated, but do you really have to chant that when you're up 38-10?

I thought the same thing........

I don't think the sports writers wanted to take that chance.

To see USC humbled by an SEC school would have made it real hard for the sports media to still give them the #1 spot.

It's such a joke.

Yeah that really bothered me too. I was very disappointed in some of the fans last night.

The overrated chants were well deserved and to call Georgia fans a little classless for stating the obvious is ridiculous imho.

Besides, every teams fans do that chant when they are routing a ranked opponent. So while were at it, lets just call every fan base classless, shall we?

I actually found the Georgia fans quite nice(seated at the game in their section) and they were even pretty tolerant of numerous "Go Tigers" chants in the middle of watching their team play. They seemed like a very classy bunch to me.

When do you chant overrated if you can't do it in a blow out? :hihi:

Every year I wait and think USC will finally have to play a top SEC team, and every year they get the Big 10. Its getting pretty stupid.

Well, Boise St. winning last year was one of the worst things that could happen. While we all like Cinderella stories, it made people think that we could be overlooking some unknown giant. But, the reality is that most small schools simply don't match up with the big boys. Of course, any team can win on a given day, BUT.
Last year, Okla wasn't nearly as strong as this year.

The funny part to me was that there were quite a few people who really thought Haw. had a legit chance. After about 1 minute in the game, you knew better. Ga was rushing 3, and all 3 were getting pressure. Game, Set, Match.
Look at last year, ND should have never gotten in the BCS. But, they get in any way and get embarrassed.

As for this year, there really was a chance to have some excellent, playoff type games. Instead, back to bowl tie-ins.

Not to mention basically going untouched to the endzone on a run against 10 in the box.....

Boycott the BCS Bowl games after this year, until they get a playoff system installed.....

We stop watching the games, then they start too revamp there thinking..... that are wait till alot of OLD guys die, before they start changing things...
