Hitting over 300 mph in a car... (1 Viewer)

No thanks. A few years ago I had a friend who invited me out to the lakefront airport to test a 2015 Ducati 1299 Panigale. I took off and before I knew it I was at 140 mph. I crapped my pants and slowed down. That’s the fastest I’ve ever been outside a airplane and as fast as I want to go.

I've done 160 on a track with the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience. 145-150 in my old Z-28 and 135 on my Kawasaki 750 Turbo. None of those are 300 :hihi:

I got up to 136 mph in my old Mazda RX7 years ago, I probably could have gotten about 10 more but I backed off. I don't think I've done over 90 since. The need for speed isn't really my cup of tea. I'm cool most of the time doing 70 in the slow lane these days..

How long before a very rich guy wrecks one?

Yesterday, comedian and actor Tracy Morgan was involved in a minor traffic incident while driving his new Bugatti Veyron in midtown Manhattan.

Ironically, “The Last OG” star had bought the beautiful vehicle minutes before the collision. In fact, he was only half a mile from the dealership, Manhattan Motorcars, when the incident occurred.

Me and the neighbor were talking over the weekend about this stuff. No normal person needs a car that powerful and the vast majority of people that can afford it definitely shouldn't be driving it. Once you get north of 400-500 HP it doesn't take much to have it get away from you. My car makes 400+ and my brother's car makes 600+. Completely different animals when you mash the go pedal.

You know that has to suck. I guess the dealership might be the only place to get it fixed with confidence because practically no one else would have any experience fixing one.
