I am going to the Houston game. Can anyone from Houston give me names of Hotels that are close to the stadium?

I bid $57 on priceline for a 4-star downtown hotel and got the Hyatt. I stayed there last month while working in Houston and loved the hotel. Of course, that is downtown and about 5 miles from Reliant.

As far as those close to Reliant, the Comfort Suites Medical Center/Reliant Park on McNee Rd is within walking distance. The Holiday Inn Astrodome, Houston Grand Plaza, Extended Stay Reliant and Best Western Reliant are all 4/10ths of a mile from the Stadium.

Thanks for the suggestions. We have a parking pass for the game so if I can't get anything within walking distance then we will just drive.

Looking forward to seeing some of you there.

If you stay downtown, there is light rail that runs from downtown with a stop at Reliant.

Thanks everyone. I am going to call some of these places for reservations.

you would have to get a cab. The light rail does not go to the galleria yet.

i just got a room at the Doubletree downtown for $75 a night. im staying from 11/16-11/19. i got it downtown because im going to concerts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night, and i have a parking pass for Reliant Stadium so im not worried about driving.

anyone know where the team is staying?

Never mind.

Got the info. And got rooms.

Holy ****, the Saints are staying 2 blocks from my house. What a weekend.

Good news---Houston is a really easy place to book a hotel. No one comes here for tourism. You're gonna die when you see how cheap some of them are.

If you completely forget to get a room, and you're a pretty tough character, there are a jillion mom & pop places on I-10 East between Spur 330 (Decker Drive) in Baytown and Downtown. If you are staying on I-10 between Beltway 8 and the East Loop 610, you might want to remember your bullet-proof vest, and to take the stereo and rims into your hotel with you. Also hotels in that area will likely offer additional "services" not found in nice ones.

If you're cheap like me, and you're bringing wife or kids, I recommend Baytown, which is fairly nice, but not expensive---- Think of it as KENNER.
Also nice is Mont Belvieu, (I-10 and hwy 146) which I would compare to LAPLACE.

If you're all hooty-tooty, the Omni Galleria is your best bet. Anything in the Galleria is fancy and wont allow people like me to walk around and scare people.

It wont be hard to get a hotel in Houston.

I live in the Galleria--- 610 and Westheimer area if you need some help, PM me. Also I happen to be your morning traffic voice on local radio, so I know much of the city pretty well.

looking forward to meeting yall.

Hey remember if you stay downtown, they have that cute little useless train that only goes 2 places, but one of them goes to Reliant and its dirt cheap.

Just wait until they make more useless little trains that don't go anywhere you want to go.
