It’s not a direct comparison.Typical bully the NFL is. Act tough until someone punches them in the mouth. They should have learned a lesson from the beating they took from Fleurty Girl, but apparently not.
Good for UH.
The NFL doesn’t pursue them because their last statement about the issue was that it didn’t matter to them. And they shouldn’t want the bad PR of suing a high school.I worked a regional high school sports job for a while and it always cracked me up how many schools would blatantly rip off an NFL teams logo. Patriots was a very common one for some reason. I'm kinda shocked those C&D letters don't go out more often.
On the flip side, a fair number of schools do have awesome names inspired by regional history or whimsical leadership, and we'd enjoy those projects a lot more.
Ole Miss has adopted Tar Heel blue as an alternative uni. And Kiffen is just the jack *** to tweak them one game to look even more like the Oilers. The NFL is in a lose lose if they don’t let this go.Hmmm Louisiana Tech been wearing that blue forever. It is a color teams use. Of course, they don't say Houston on them either. In fact, I wish Tech would go back to it completely. Bunch of old guys that think its a "girl color" preventing that from happening. I'm sorry -- these unis are better than any of the Reflex blue versions.

Yeah my HS blatantly ripped off the Patriots helmet logo, but didn't use the name "Patriots". I guess they figured because a high school football team isn't for profit they would get a pass.I worked a regional high school sports job for a while and it always cracked me up how many schools would blatantly rip off an NFL teams logo.
