The Eagles being 2.5-point favorites is total disrespect by Vegas. I watched Adam Caplan on Inside the Birds podcast after the game last night and he said the team is a disaster right now. Their defense offered zero resistance last night to the Falcons, and their best player AJ Brown is expected to miss another game. This is inexplicable to me.

EDIT - I’m changing the OP. It seems Nola.com had the line wrong. Saints are favored by 2.5. I still think this is a crazy line, basically saying Vegas thinks the Eagles win on a neutral field. Some Saintsreport posters said the line was Eagles by 2.5 after the Sunday games but moved to Saints by 2.5 after the Monday nighter.

They’re favored? Good. We’ll come out with something to prove.

B/c the Eagles were SB favorites going into the season so if they are underdogs 3 games into the season it means the odds makers were out to lunch with their preseason picks and didn't do their homework.

Reply was to an incorrect line.

Saints are like the beautiful step children of the league, much like the Raiders, you may not like us when we win, and even if we lose at least we still look good..b&g baby!

They don't trust DA. One site has beagles winning 30-20 and another has Saints winning 40-13. Go figure.

every draft we have to hear all about how Philly got someone else from Georgia's D, but I don't see anything to be impressed with

Jaylor Carter has been OK. Nolan Smith has been a non factor. He's best suited as an OLB'er in a 3-4,not a DE in
a 4-3,. Opponents have been running to his side with great success from what I'm reading on the Eagles sites

a 4-3,
I noticed something about Philly's 4-3 last night. While most who run a 4-3 use 2 DEs and 2 DTs, the Eagles had 3 DTs and 1 DE

Yes the line was -2.5 in favor of the Eagles last night on some sites. Unfortunately the site I use didn’t even have it listed. I’m sure those sites got hammered. I’m still on the saints. This has all the markings of a game where Vegas screwed up and got way too much money on one side with a bad line. Refs and their bank accounts probably fighting over getting this game.

Calling it now. Every 3rd down stop we get flagged on defense for defensive holding or hands to face or something stupid.

The Eagles are allowing a league worst 6.4 yards per carry.

They are also 28th in passing yards allowed and 28th in passing touchdowns allowed.

They are ranked 31st in yards per play allowed.

Fletcher Cox retiring and trading Hasson Reddick has completely devastated their defense.

People say "oOoOoOhHhH NnOoOoOoOo dOnT gEt CoCkY" about the Eagles.

Ya'll one of the worst defenses in the league is coming to the Superdome to face off against the best offense in the league. If you DONT feel good about this one, something is wrong with you.
