Grew up poor in Mexico, dad died, blind uncle raped her. Years later offered a modeling gig in Japan, was flown there, passport taken, told she owes money, sold as a sex slave. Tried to escape, Japanese police didn't help. Eventually gets to Canada, Married, has a child. Massive drinking problem ruins marriage, child ends up having a disease that causes blindness.. she loses it. Starts running at night so her kid wont' hear her cry. Eventually turns into an idea to bring awareness to human trafficking... she's ran, swam and biked from Cancun to D.C. Almost 4000 miles.
