Alright, this is a hypothetical.

Let's say right now as of today, I have a crystal ball and have the ability to look into the future at one college football game played in 2009.

I decide to look at USC @ tOSU, and can tell you that Ohio State wins the game.

Knowing this, would you predict, right now, that tOSU plays in the national championship?

Yup. I doubt they'd lose to anybody else on that schedule, and even if they did lose a squeaker along the way, they'd have at least a decent chance of making it anyway because of the huge quality win.

Michigan will beat Ohio St. this year. Rodriguez has had two offseasons to get his players into the condition he had WVU in (highly underated, in my opinion) and his *** is still smarting from last years whipping. He knows he has to win that game to salvage what could be another rough season (although they will be a bowl team again).

OSU beats USC then there pretty much a lock.... unless USC goes south this year with more than 3 losses....

Yep, and I think it's going to happen.

USC is going to get better as the season goes on and beat some quality teams. Meanwhile, tOSU can say they beat USC. They will be undefeated because of their pathetic schedule, and no one can rightfully leave them out, especially since there won't be 2 other teams (probably not even one) that are undefeated.

I think it's going to be interesting because I see it playing out like this:

tOSU - undefeated
either Texas or OU - 1 loss
ESS EE SHEE Champion - 1 or 2 losses
USC - 1 or 2 losses.

You have to put in tOSU v. the Big XII winner, but everyone will want to see the Big XII v. SEC winner. And tOSU will be curbstomped by whomever they end up playing. Meanwhile, USC will whine some more about how they deserve to be in (and to their credit, they will at that time be a better team than tOSU)
