one band i was never able to catch live. But i was like 11/12 when they were putting out hits.

If that dust still fuels the sound...

Very decent line up i think. Lenny Kravitz, Pearl Jam, John Fogarty, HAIM, Musgraves, Dave Matthews, Lil Wayne + The Roots....

I went to see Nathaniel Rateliff w/ the Nightsweats open for MMJ.
LOVED NRNS but about 20% of the crowd, including me, left after 4-5 songs into MMJ.
Perhaps was not on the correct meds that night.

Agreed on My Morning Jacket, one of the very few proggy bands still out there.....

I'm hip on the 2nd week, Kingfish and Samantha Fish are the ones I want to see....

I went to that tour. MMJ rocked the joint - made Rateliff seem quaint.

I brought two friends with me who had never heard them before and they agreed that MMJ rocked the joint. The next day I saw a friend who happened to be there and he said what you said: Rateliff was good but the left during MMJ.

My conclusion is that some people like to rock and some don’t.

You know, I'm at the point now where I just cannot think of myself going to Jazz Fest.

Only one that could would be SRV, but I'mma have to wait til latet to see him again.
