Beyond that, I can't foresee a scenario where a new coach would keep an interim coach on the staff. I don't mean this as an indictment of Rizzi, but in general an interim coach tends to be loved. They tend to be coaches that the players speak up for and play hard for after the appointment. Again, I'm not saying this would happen with Rizzi, but the last thing a new head coach would want is the potential for another coach to be the "sounding board" or "have the ear of the players" behind the head coach's back.I doubt he’d want to stay here in that role.
