Rickey Jackson dressed in the corner of the New Orleans Saints’ locker room in the Louisiana Superdome, just as you walked into the place.

If he had something to say, and there were certainly times that he did, the crowd around his locker would be immense.

Most of the time, though, Jackson did his talking on the field.

And no one in Saints history, before or since, did it with the sustained excellence that Jackson showed over his 13 seasons with the team.
