NFL Jimmy Johnson announced his retirement from broadcasting (46 Viewers)

Good for him. I don't really watch the pre-game and halftime shows like I used to but I appreciated the dynamic he's had with the people he worked with and that Fox crew is probably the most fun to watch, and I've never felt any kind of dislike for any of them. From what I did notice Johnson had been taking more time off this season and last anyway. Getting out now is a good move and I hope he enjoys his retirement.

I'm reading Bradshaw has plans to retire in about 4 years himself which I think is also a good move. There's been a couple times I did catch it this season and Bradshaw is starting to have to think/pause a bit longer, etc. Understandable but I just don't want to see a legend decline live on tv.

Lee Corso is probably the best example of what I mean by decline, and I understand ESPN not wanting to force him out but the few times I caught college gameday this season when he was on it was definitely sad watching him trying to keep up with everyone around him. It's not all the time but it was apparent this year more than ever.

So with Sean and Bill both coaching again, who from the coaching ranks do they get to replace him?

He did a bit of coaching in Picayune. I’m 100% sure that’s what he’ll be remembered for :geek:
