The New Orleans Saints have re-signed veteran DT John Hughes on Wednesday, according to Josh Katzenstein.

Hughes, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Browns back in 2012. He spent over four years in Cleveland before he was released a few weeks into the 2016 season.

No word on who's being cut to replace him.. Hopefully this means good news for Armstead and Harris is being released again.

Man, Bryce Harris must live in his car or something. Detroit, San Fran, we sign him, we release him. Tough season.

Anyone else read this as "resigned" (left/gone/peaced out) instead of "re-signed"?

But good news!

Yep! I was like...who is John Hughes and what did he do that forced him to resign?

Wait. Releasing Harris is all wishful speculation, right? Isn't putting Armsted (or someone else) on IR also a possible move here? Let's not get too giddy yet. Unless someone saw that he was officially released

Yes that's wishful thinking.. i havent seen anybody released or a subsequent move, however if Armstead was going on IR, I would think we would be looking at other tackle options with that roster spot. (Ie Brandon Albert)
