Hi Folks

Sorry I've been quite for a while but I have only recently returned from New Orleans as mentioned previously.

Friday is going to be a great night at the O2 Arena for the New Orleans Festival ( Tube to North Greenwich via the Jubilee Line.

The Saturday meeting is going to be held at the Lamb & Flag on Rose Street in Covent Garden. I should be there around 5pm.
There are an abundance of pubs in the area so if we outgrow this little old pub, we can move around with plenty of choice.

Cheers to all

Great news :9:

We'll be there

Will this pub be showing the LSU game? I know many people who will be attending the meet and greet will be interested in watching the game. I believe kickoff is at 9 PM London time. If that pub doesn't carry the game, maybe there is a pub nearby that does?

Thanks again for setting this up. I look forward to meeting you all.

I can confirm that I have found a pub about a 2 minute walk from the Lamb & Flag that has the NASN Channel and will show the LSU game if it is being covered.

This is a Canadian Bar called the Maple Leaf on Maiden Lane ( Covent Garden ). They are checking the TV schedule and calling me back to confirm.

How do we know if they will be covering the game?

Sounds good. We're all at JFK trying to "pace" ourselves but the 6 hour layover isn't helping. Go Saints!

I'll try to make it to bar on Saturday, we have a 8:00 reservation at St. John, but would love to meet up for a beer.

NASN (North American Sports Network) will be showing the LSU game. The broadcast starts at 8:30 pm London time!!!
Me and my wife will try and hook up with y'all at the Lamb and Flag. It all depends on how late we leave the O2 (if we go on Saturday).
And yea, That has a familiar ring to it, "Maybe we'll see you at the Maple Leaf"!!!

I was thinking of going ot the festival on Saturday - but then thought -- why go to a London version of things I see in new orleans on a regular basis -- would rather tool around London and the associated pubs trying great beer that is hard to get in the city even if you go to Cooter browns

Might be a worth a visit for a brief period of time, its at the Millennium Dome which is a stunning building(although a white elephant for the government as it cost over a £1 billion) to build.

Hey man,

I noticed in the other thread you're sitting in block 219 row 6 - well my girl and I will be in row 5. What seats do you have?

I have spoke to the Bar Manager and he has confirmed that the LSU game will be shown at the Maple Leaf in Covent Garden at 8.30pm on Saturday.
This all hinges on whether LSU are the featured game this weekend.
