LSU vs Clemson Title Game Betting line set at LSU -3 to -5.5 to open (1 Viewer)

How great is it that we have a title game with two HCs whose fan bases never wanted them when they were hired. Both were on the hot seat immediately after their hire. Neither serv d as Coordinators before becoming HC.

With all the oozing confidence I've been
reading about lsu on this forum, I'm expecting some of you to bet your cars, houses, bank accounts, kids, pets, etc.
I mean this bayou Bengal team is the best college football team in the history of the world. An unstoppable force with little to no respect for the opponent. :)

Not sure where you get the "little to no respect for the opponent" remark from. I have heard nothing but respect from the LSU team.

I have always considered Eers to be the hillbilly cousins of LSU fans. You're always welcome to the tailgate. You can just wear the gold WVU shirts. No one is really going to notice what the guy burning couches is wearing. And I would never say this is the best college team in the history of college football. Other people might. I mean, some people have. Are they accurate? I don't think that really for me to say. What I can say is that they're pretty good. They're doing a lot of things that no other team has done before and I dont see anyone stepping up to stop them. Perhaps that title is merited, perhaps not. That's just not for me to say even though many people do say it and have said it and more will probably say it soon.

Not the team my man, the fanbase here.
Fans don't respect their opponents.
I've always said if lsu ever got a capable qb, they'd be dangerous with all the top classes they pull in.

I'll say it. LSU is the best college football team in modern history. There were some teams back in the unlimited scholarship days that may have been more dominant but even then I'm not sure. The only other team that can show a strength of schedule like this team is 1995 Nebraska team and the 2011 LSU team. The 2011 LSU team was more dominant than the 2001 Miami Hurricane team but the 2001 Hurricane team is the only team I've seen that had more dominant NFL players.

The 2011 LSU team lost the championship game the 2nd time around to Bama so they can't even be in the conversation of greatest ever if they couldn't win a championship. The same exact thing will be said of the 2019 LSU team if they don't win.

If they win though, I really don't think it's all that close but it'll be debated forever. ESPN has Leinart and Bush's USC team as the #1 ever and I don't buy that for a second.

The 1995 Nebraska team couldn't throw the ball but it didn't matter. They beat 4 teams ranked in the top 10 by an average margin of victory of 30 points. They scored 35 points in every game that season and when they played #2 Florida for the Championship they beat them by like 45 points. That team was an absolute machine but looking back at it, they weren't really that talented in the scope of history.
