Madden- bush or thomas (1 Viewer)

Who do you use in Madden 2011, im not doing well running the ball with Thomas and Bush fumbles alot any pointers or help is appreciated. I play online for the most part.

Definitely Bush. Thomas is just too slow to get through holes. He can at times but he can't break for a TD or anything like that. Reggie is just a perfect Madden RB. He can beat anyone with speed and you can get him through the holes.

use them like the saints use them....run alot more to the outside with bush...utilizing his catching skills use him with screens and 5 wide(he's rated 88 at WR)...i also use him in the weak package....as for thomas, he breaks more tackles use him more on power runs and inside...but thomas can be used outside as well to mix it up...dont forget to change plays if they line-up with 8 in the box, brees will eat this up all game with passes

Other people run the ball all over me and i just cant seem to get it going. Do yall take control of the rb at the handoff or wait till he its the line also do you use spins , stiff arms

Just work on your vision of possible holes. Getting through the holes requires zero jukes/spins. Just ballcarrier vision and awareness. Honestly, the only time I consistently use spins or jukes is going down the sideline with tacklers trying to close me off. Going up the middle and making moves only slows your guy down and lets defenders swarm to you.

I use both about equally. Use Thomas for a lot of inside running, and Bush for sweeps, tosses and screen passes.

I wish I could figure out how to set it up to sub them both more realistically. But since I don't know how I go with Bush. When I play online it's like night and day. Reggie's skillset is just better for Madden.

The best way to balance them realistically is to use them in different personnel packages. I put reggie on top of the depth chart and use thomas in half my single back packages, strong package, and i-form package...

+1 - I switched Bush to the #1 back spot and then formation subbed Thomas in for the bulk of my favorite rushing formations. I also raised the sub in/outs so that they rotate fairly often

First thing I did was play SB XLV - PT got me 5 achievements: 80+ yard TD, 200+ yards rushing, 5 broken tackles and 50 YAContact. He's a tackle breaking beast.
