It is evident that Saints Safety, Marcus Maye, will be on the field for the Saints opener - which is great news! His DUI case was adjudicated a couple of weeks ago and yet no word from the NFL on his probable/likely suspension. I am curious if I have missed something or if anyone has any insights on why the apparent slow walking of the decision by the League office! Make no mistake I am not complaining, but still expect a 2 or 3 game suspension to be coming!

I wonder if the league could actually be so kind to not have three of our players suspended at the same time?

DUI is one of those things I personally believe is suspension worthy. There is zero reason for it to happen.
Depends. I had a good friend (about 10 years ago), got drunk-hammered in a bar. Went out to his truck, put the emergency brake on, cranked the truck up, turned on the heater, passed out, went to sleep. Cops banged on the door, arrested him for DUI because the keys were in the ignition while the truck was running.
It's the law, but it was complete BS because he wasn't driving and didn't pose a threat.

I agree that’s a tough one. But Maye wasn’t sleeping was he?

Agreed. I was implying that with Payton gone the suspension would not be like 10 games.
