It took some time, but the Saints found Marques Colston reincarnated on the field, and his name is AT Perry.

Between Perry, Shaheed, and (perhaps) Olave, the Saints quarterbacks (Carr or otherwise) do not have a shortage of options to throw to. Maybe we need a receiving tight end, but Perry and the boys will hold it down at the receiver spot.

Not a fan of this comparison.

Colston was one of one. AT seems much more fiery as well.

Whoa now, let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Colston produced at a very high-level year in year out. Let's let the years go by before we start making that comparison. Some people wanted to put Thomas in that category he might have been on his way, but he got hurt.

Thomas played at a level even higher than Colstin but for a shorter time. He was the most dominate receiver in the league until the injury and medical mishaps. One would not be off at all to mention Thomas and Colston together.

Perry: 20 pounds lighter. .10 seconds faster. Had a much higher draft grade. Slips into the 3rd receiver slot very nicely.

But Thomas isn't Colston that is the thing, He was well on his way to surpassing him minus the ring. But if Thomas can come back he still has a chance if he can reach that level he was on before the injury.

Love Colston, but AT has some deep speed. Colston was lethal up the seam, but AT is more of a traditional WR. Both late picks, but the comparison sort of stops there.
