It's that time of year again, the one I look forward to all year.

As usual, nearly impossible to see everything, everything happens at once. Here's what I did see.

Practice began as usual, with ST drills. Prater, wearing 12 and I thought was Meach was in in these drills. He's taller than Meach, but the number fooled me for a while. And I thought prater was 17 which used to be Meach, it was confusing... But Prater. Elston, Dangerfield, Ken Crawley, and Marcus Henry had a good bit of practice during this.

RaShaun Allen is a tall and thick TE, stands outs, listed at 250. Every bit of that.

Coleman in in ST drills, he seemed confused on who to block. Jordan Williams Lambert the same, kind of lost in this drill.

7/7 drew had nice middle of the field pass to Hill who was wide open, but they were just walk throughs. Fairley, in with the ones a lot. Jenkins, Armstead, Strief mostly on the other side of the ball.
During these walk throughs, Hightower still stepping and making nice cuts, even tho he doesn't have to, he's darting and dashing out there.

Faster pace here...
Breaux covering M.Thomas, looks dead even, they are both really good. Anthony had trouble covering Ingram.
Nice deep ball on the sidelines to Thomas, he's got really good hands, very fluid and effortless running style. They had Cooks one side Thomas on the other, they would take turns both did very well!

Vincent Brown (WR) got way open in the middle of the field, play took a long time to develop, he began to jog back to LOS (like okay was over) then I see a deep spiral coming right to the spot he Was standing wide open, before he left. Ooops.

QB drills with RBs, and WRs. pitch and catch, Lasco looks good, fast, sharp routes. Prater looks good.

The drill where they practice footwork, stepping in and out of circles and "speed bumps" A.Johnson has some awesome footwork, fast, clean, he looked better than the rest of the guys in this drill.

Back to offense vs defense
Reggie Bell makes a nice catch.
McCown to Dangerfield nice deep pass, perfectly thrown and perfectly caught. He left defenders behind. Gwacham tries to strip the ball every play. Plays with lots of energy and some attitude. I liked that. He did this in ST drills as well. Great closing speed and then gets nasty,
P.J. Nice pbu on Coleman.
Seem to be rotating Lelito, Kelemete, Cyril Lemon. Hard to see.

I kept having to look up 87 and seeing who it was, Lewis, he made several really nice plays today. He's super fast. Vaccaro nice pbu on Cooks.
WR Reggie Bell is really trying hard, he has been very close to a few circus catches, when ball wasn't thrown on target. He'd lay his body out and almost come down with them.
Snead continues to leave defenders by a mile. R.J. Harris makes a nice catch.
Fairley in the middle a lot of the time. Lewis, another nice catch. Davis Tull getting lots of "sacks" on McCown. Often ball is just thrown to ground, like 2-3 seconds after Tull has been standing next to Luke, long enough to chat possibly. I like Tull today.
Crawley on M.Thomas not close. Everything I have read on Thomas is true. He's really good y'all.
Darby, (safety) plays hard and gives WR an extra little push.
Lewis has done great all day and now drops one right in his hands. (It happens) he was mad. Jake Lampton makes a nice catch.
Erik Harris has lots of trouble covering Ingram. Ingram looked good as usual.
Hightower gets some reps and he just keeps running every time to endzone, play is over, but he's not. I like that hunger!
Brandon Dixon is not scared of WRs, he plays hard and aggressively.
Lasco running strong again. Impressed.
Stupar often getting to QB lots of quickness.
Tony Carter (corner) swatted the ball down before it got to Cooks, hard. May have busted the ball. Big reaction from fans.
Swann gets his hands all in Coleman's hands, like juggling, messing coleman up,causing PBU. Coleman should have come back for the ball.
Craig Robertson nice pbu on Prater, knocks Prater down pretty hard, but then helps him up.
Roman has very nice pbu on MH (84) crowd went wild! It was so exciting! It was really good. He didn't take a lot of reps, but I think he knows his job. He did a little pointing to other players, helping, not a lot, but some. He'll be showing that leadership more and more.
Dillon Lee (LB) looking good on a couple of plays covering Ingram.
Garrett Griffin makes a nice leaping catch.
Tommylee Lewis, the one I kept having to look up because he kept making plays, drops a kick from jugs machine, he does pick it up and then make some nice cuts to run to other endzone. I have no idea if he's ever done kicks before, at Nothern Illinois, maybe he's learning. He was very fast and has some skills. He is small though.
2 minute drills
Breaux looked good, Snead beat him a couple times.
Stupar again with good speed to ball carrier.
Last play of the day... I didn't know it was the last play until after, but I scream get the ball Nate. And they snap the ball and he gets int. off of Hightower. All these strangers turn around and look at me and I just shrug my shoulders. That is a true story too.

Until tomorrow... Who Dat!

Going to check in hotel now, I've been sitting at McDonald's using their wifi too long.

AWESOME Recap! Thank you for posting. Hope to see you out there tomorrow. I'm still 50/50 :aargh:

looking at the mini camp updates, both offense and defense seem to be on the right track .... my biggest concern still is the interior Oline ... havent heard from anyone as to how Lelito and Kelemente are holding up ... and if not they are any of the UDFA Olinemen in the interior getting any playing time????

Not sure if autocorrect had its way with you or Judy is real name...I'm leaning towards Autocorrect.

That's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. I was "dude, "man" etc. on here for many years, and someone from here saw me at practice at Millsaps. Then the secret was out.
Thank you again.

Mounteerdude, I tried to look at that. It's difficult to see. Also, it's hard to tell without pads, who is "winning" but it did seem there was lots of rotating personnel at the guard, tackle and center potions, Armstead and Strief seemed to stay put though, most of the time. I will try again tomorrow to see if I can tell. You can't see their numbers usually.

My biggest concern is the interior line ... hope Lelito and Kelemente are holding on well ..

You rock. No seriously...you're better than the Saints beat tweeters.

Getting difficult to control my excitement over Michael Thomas.

To consider how good Ingram has become in the passing game is mind-blowing. In his rookie season if you told me that Ingram would catch 65 passes...I would assume that they were career numbers. He could do that THIS SEASON. Insane. I was a big Ivory supporter (Khiry less so)...but Payton was 100% right on Ingram over Ivory. Significantly better fit on the offense. Here's to him staying healthy.

I don't think we'll learn much about either side of the line until they put on the pads.

This is the position (LG) where I noticed the most rotation, these two (Lelito and K. ) from what I could tell switch out often. Didn't see a big difference between one or the other, but they certainly rotated at guard. Peat was at RG a good bit. Just hard to tell who's winning at the LOS without pads. They should have lots of film on this to evaluate.
Also saw C.Lemon at guard at times. I know he was here last year, can't remember if he was injured or what.

no signs of Landon turner yet???

Did not see Turner, didn't look though. I reread my notes and don't see his number listed in what I wrote down. I will look for him tmrw. Some OL and others were doing sled work way over by facility, couldn't see them at all.
