just curious steltz but what is the reaction from falcon fans when they see the bus. when do you get into town and whats it like driving on the interstate. ( I just realized saint mike needs to answe these questions)

Interstate is pretty bad (HORRIBLE) during rush hours.. Other then that it isn't bad at all for the most part.. Come in a few hours and you won't have to contend with game traffic..

The fans like Mike's bus for the most part.. Last year there was a big enough group there that no one really wanted to give us any trouble.. All in all a great experince.. Especially cause we rocked the falcons and that tent they call a dome.

I got to Atlanta on Friday night, I drove there alone...my friends didn't want to ride all the way there in a school bus so they flew. Most people in Atlanta are not huge Falcon fans, so it didn't get a lot of attetion while I was driving into town on the interstate. Most people just stared and looked twice. My best friend lived there so, it was parked on the street from Friday night till we got ready to go to the game on Sunday. I got up early and went out to put a ice chest in it and that's when I saw that someone had rolled it with toliet paper and egged it sometime early Sunday am. I cleaned it up and we all headed to the game. The ride to the game was fun. We got all kinds of reation...from people shooting the bird at us to cars honking and people yelling at us. We stopped at Popeyes and that's where we bumped into steltz and his friends. We followed them to the RV lot by the convention center and parked there. No one gave us any trouble and the bus was fine when we came out after the game. The best time was ripping the fans after the game as they waited in traffic to get out of the lot. They had to drive right by us.There was a group of people having a party with a d.j. and they invited us to come over and have some food and hangout. By the time we left to head back to the house...most people were gone and the ride back was uneventful. I can honestly say...the bus is the best thing I have ever bought. We have so much fun with it. I also took it to Dallas last year. On that trip, I had three friends ride up there with me. The reaction there was different. The Cowboys fans were honking at us even before we got into Dallas Saturday night. Yelling stuff and saying go Cowboys. When we pulled up at the Hilton and all got out, everyone there in the lobby came outside to see it. They let me park it in a locked lot so no one would mess with it. This year, I already have people fighting over who gets to ride to Houston, Tampa and Atlanta with me. It's really going to be a blast on those trips. I'am working on the inside right now, putting in carpet and sofa's...I'll post some pics when it's done.

That is so cool Mike!! LOL that some lame falcon fan egged the bus. I missed the game in Atlanta last year but hopefully I will make this one. It was always fun going to those games especially when we win.:worthy:

Oh yes we will most definitely be there. My dad and I made the trip after Katrina and it was a welcome break. This time it will be me celebrating getting my Masters degree from Tulane, so we are going to do it big.

Let's be fair: every team has obnoxious ahole fans...you should have seen the gauntlet of mini thugs we had to pass through on our way out of the Superdome last September.

DFA ~ without a doubt that's true, and we have as many as most, no doubt (and I apologize that you ran into that gauntlet - it's not right, but you are flying 'Bird colors). I'd like your comment on the fact that your travel crowd seems to be much more ill-behaved than your home crowd. I may be working with a limited sample, but I've certainly found that to be the case. Thoughts?

I'll be there as usual. I'm also making plans to drive to Houston for the game in November. I've got a cousin who lives in Houston and I'll stay with him. I want to see the first game that Reggie goes up against the 1 team that passed on him in the draft, when everyone and their brother assumed he'd be picked #1!

St. Mike...I remember the pictures of your bus! That thing is awesome!

If you click on the link to my myspace page...there are pics of the bus on there...I just got finished redoing the inside and will have pics of that up soon on there. The day I finished it, I got home and while I was at my cousins working on it, someone broke into my shed and stole my generator, two ice chest, a pressure washer and some tools. This stinks...now I have to go spend another $300-$400 on a couple of ice chest and another generator. I had put all my extra money into the interior of the bus this year.

Well people have less incentive to misbehave at home games, they could embarrass themselves in front of people they WILL see again and/or risk losing their STs altogether.
