Agree. Like the saying goes, you want volunteers not hostages.
Sifting through this it seems pretty clear now what happened:

1. Saints pull their usual stuff and ask Carr to take a pay cut as part of restructuring his deal;
2. Carr refuses to play along and won't agree to take a pay cut;
3. Saints say ok, but we are restructuring your deal anyway, without your consent;
4. Carr says then it would be better if you just release me or trade me;
5. Saints say no way buddy boy, your staying right here for another year and, oh by the way, we are interviewing every prospective QB in the draft and bringing them in for facility visits;
6. Carry says "Ooh, my arm!" and effectively threatens to sit out the season if Saints don't deal him or release him.

This rant rivals Mora’s “Saints ain’t good enough” episode! He absolutely loses it near the end of this segment.

He crosses the line (in anger) when he wishes something bad on Carr. It was really unprofessional.

He is my favorite to watch over all the rose colored glasses heart warming Saints Podcast out there. Dude does and says the same thing I say on here except he is getting paid to do it, SMH.

Some have forgotten how much shade was thrown at Carr, especially with the parody Mardi Gras float.

That had to be a “gut punch!”



Also, his buddy (Dennis Allen) was given the “Left foot of fellowship,” and you have to figure that Carr & D.A. have had several chats over the past year.

Those conversations probably fueled some negativity, but who knows?

He's been dying to give the ole "told you so" about Carr for years. I've been one that wanted to give Carr a chance all this time but with this news about Carr's shoulder, looks like Scon is going to get to do the "told you so" soon enough, because he was right. Hate to say that, as he irks me at times. But I can't say that his outburst is unwarranted...this time.
