Looking for advice financially. I've never had over 3 grand in my bank account. Now I have a lot more than that. What should I do with it? Stock market? High yield saving?

Returns on high yield savings are solid enough now you can go there right away (make sure it’s an FDIC institution) - and then decide if additional diversification into higher returns (at risk) is sensible. These are easy to set up and you can connect the account electronically to other accounts to allow for access and movement as needed.

It really all depends on how much of it you can truly leave alone to attempt to grow it. If you’re gonna need to dip into it all in the next 12 months or so, you’ll need to keep that part in non-risk.

You can open a savings account at an average of 4.35% yield, maybe higher. If you're not accustomed to investing or moving money that's probably your best bet.
