I dont think he has any clue what he is talking about. 2 teams in L.A.? I think not. First they have to prove they can support 1 before they bring 2 there. I dont understand what the love affair is with L.A. They have had 2 teams before and they are not a great sports town like people like to think they are. It would be a huge fail on the part of the NFL if they ever allowed this to happen

LA Failclowns has a nice ring to it.

Hehehe....the only thing I would have against that is we would have to travel out to the west coast at least once a year. I hate 4 o' clock games.

I know LA is a big market, but people out there aren't really into the NFL. It's all USC and the Lakers out there. That's why I'm confused about this push to get LA a NFL team. Haven't we tried this experiment before?

Too many residents in that area are from elsewhere, and have kept their allegiances to the teams where they used to live. That is one reason why it's hard for L.A. to support pro football.

I don't care; as long as it's not the Los Angeles Saints, I could care less.

IMHO the push to have a team in L.A. is not about the fans but about the revenue that can be brought in the next TV contract by having a team in the second largest TV market The NFL is a big business and the money they can generate from BIG BUSINESS and the TV market. It is not about the fans or if the teams will sell out from ticket sales.Ticket sales is only a small part of the money generated by the NFL

Two teams? Maybe they should see how one works out after they steal either the Bills, Jags, or Vikings.

A breakdown of one quote from Michaels:
The league may not come out and say this overtly, but where would you rather play a Super Bowl than Los Angeles?
New Orleans for one.

It’s a great sports town, it’s always been a great sports town. People denigrate it because people leave a Dodger game early. Does that mean you’re not a great sports fan?
Let's see, you go to a game and regularly leave before the game is over. Yep, I'd say that qualifies as not being a "great sports fan".

L.A. lost the Rams & the Raiders because of fair weather fans and he thinks they'll get not only one, but two teams because it's "a great sports town".

They'll get the Chargers in 2014. Raiders in 2015. Both will return to San Diego and Oakland by 2023. L.A. fails again

Bingo.

The ironic thing is, with a team in LA subject to blackout rules, if the games doen't sell out (which there's plenty of information to show games for Rams and Raiders routinely didn't) you would actually end up with fewer games broadcast in the LA market.

That is assuming, the City of L.A. or the State of CA don't guarentee sellouts.

I am a Saints fan since 1979. I started rooting for them before I moved to New Orleans in 1996. I have lived in New York twice & Los Angeles twice. I am in LA as I type this.
This is a football city. The sports bars reflect it. There are people here that STILL support the Rams & even more so the Raidahz. Yes, a large % of the population here is from someplace else & supports the team they have a loyalty to. As do I.
My opinion is one, that it makes sense to add the tv revenue to the NFL coffers to split up. And two, people would love to have a home team here. Actually there is a lot of opportunity to grow interest in the NFL. And my third point is, two teams? Splitting interest would be dangerous to the general citizenry here. Some people love a good riot. Oh the humanity...

LA would bring to the table, money and economic thing. If there was just one team. As they haven't had an NFl team since 1995. Bear in mind that. Just IMHO!

It has to be true. His plastic surgeon told him so.
