The seven-year-old required more surgery earlier this year, with the family now living "scan to scan."

Sloane has since suffered "two seizures," but the family is hoping for a positive prognosis.

Very sad news. As adults we prepare ourselves, as best we can, for our own health complications that may come. But I don't think we can ever be prepared for something like this. Prayers to their family!
