Report: Nix Off Rook for Oct

Bo Nix isn't playing lights out, but he is also not turning the ball over and picking up yards with his feet, while we have seen SP design plays for running QBs in the past, this offense looks different than any other Payton Offense I have seen. It appears to be designed around Nix.

It the collaboration of Payton and his quarterback that makes his offenses succeed. He's had good offenses with different styles depending on the QB he has.

I don't know if Nix will ever be an elite or even very good QB, but I think Sean knows he can win with him. I think Sean has his next QB and much of his coaching legend will be tied to Nix's success.

It's very hard to find Drew Brees but Sean will succeed with what he has and unlike the coaching staff that was left here after he departed he isn't going to try to shove a square peg in a round hole. Sean has a premier offensive mind. Mickey severely underestimated just how important game and player feel was to success and thus you have Petey running the offense never adjusting to anything. Sean is going to have good team and he also has come to understand the importance of having a defensive coordinator that compliments his play style.

Yayyy!!!

Here is Bo Nix executing the Drew Brees sneak to perfection. Take notes Derek [Carr.]

They play sound football, they overcome their shortcomings, they game plan for who they are and not how they want to play....I miss CSP.

Worth mentioning, the Broncos are averaging 21 points per game, 2 less ppg than the Saints which is below league average.

Nix gets credit for not turning the ball over and letting the Broncos defense win games.
Ummm, take away the points from the 1st two games and what is the Saints ppg, then?

(If I did the math correctly, it's 15.7 ppg.)

(Four of the lowest points scored were 8, 10, 12 and 13.)

Stats can be so deceiving. The Broncos offense hasn’t been lighting it up for sure, but they’ve been better than the Saints outside of the first two weeks.

He has always done this.....it's a small sample size but CSP's record without Brees is .543, that's including his last year when we started 4 different QB's.....

He's far from perfect but he's also everything we don't have with our current coach.....

I didn't think Bo Nix was the right QB when they selected them but I've been wrong before (plenty of times).....

Ummm, take away the game against the Panthers for the Broncos and then take away the game against the Saints 2nd string and the Broncos havent scored more than 20 points this season.

Or

That isnt how averages work.

The Broncos beat the Saints at peak injury, the Panthers, the Jets and the Raiders.

The one quality win they have was against the Bucs. The Broncos defense forced 3 turnover and 7 sacks in that game.

The Broncos are the exact same team as last years Saints team. The same one where we ran off the offensive coordinator running the same system producing the same offensive output.

Don’t think I’m defending the Saints either but we are hot garbage wrapped in cat sheet.

To follow this up, I am also curious how the Bronco's handle the back half if their season. They still have the Chiefs twice, Ravens, Bengals, and Chargers, all of which I think can beat Denver. That puts them at 9-8, just out of the playoffs, much like Saints last year.

Except it is a Payton coached team. They’ll go into Kansas City and win then turn around and lose to the Browns. Then in week 18 the Chiefs will be resting the starters and win only for the Broncos to finish 9-8 and miss the playoffs.
