They are under a Tornado Emergency right now as a confirmed strong tornado has reached the SW side of the city as I write this, heading NE.

Let us know when you're safe and if there is anything your friends on SR can do to help you or neighbors. In the mean time, I'm sure I can speak for many and say you're in our prayers.

Im a firefighter in Pineville( across the river from Alex). On duty today. We faired ok. Lots of trees down. Lots of property damage but so far nothing that can’t be replaced.
Alexandria got hit pretty good. Lots of damage there.

That weather is eventually headed to New Orleans. Hopefully us headed to the dome make it there earlier enough and then also, do not have to worry about the dome being compromised and or losing power! That would suck!

National news just interviewed sheriff of Vernon Parish, who reports 1 dead.

59-year-old woman killed in mobile home after tornado tears through multiple parishes in central La. Monday

The National Weather Service says a Tornado that killed a person in Vernon Parish is the same one that hit parts of Alexandria Monday.

I'm good. We didnt actually get much bad stuff where I'm at, thankfully. Lots around me, though.
