So, after last night's game where the Vikings beat the 49ers, I went to the 49er forum and MANNNNNNN! They want Shannahan fired, Purdy traded, Bosa moved for picks, they want EVERYBODY fired, they think their defense is overrated and worthless... LOL

I am like, am I reading this right? You guys are 5-2 and lost to a legit playoff contending team, on the road, in a one score game where you legit had a chance to win in the last minute, after losing several key members of your team to injury. Even your loss to the Browns, Purdy put you in a position to win but your kicker missed. Calm down.

And then I thought, this is SR after every loss. I guess every fan base has it's rabid fans that cannot tolerate anything short of perfection. In our case, I get it a bit more after SOOOOOOOOOOO many years of disappointment and craziness but not so much in a franchise that has 5 Lombardis and have been to two more Super Bowls since then. But I guess that's fandom. I hope we aren't THAT bad but in reality...

I doubt those few loud and uneducated fans speak for the majority of the fan base.

Easier to be that way when expectations are high. At this point I'm just trying to find a few positives to take away from any game. I lost high expectations when we lost both Drew and Sean. At this point I feel like I did during the Dome Patrol days. Go D, cause you know there aint no O. But even that bright spot has been missing the past two games.

Purdy had never lost a game. Now he's lost 2. It was bound to happen. That team is too good to not hit their stride again. McCaffery is dinged up and so is Deebo.

Their defense is really good, but it's rare to have a defense that just never gets beat. The 2000 Ravens were probably one of the most dominant in my lifetime.

Which 49ers forum was it specifically?

They are just mad because they just recently put their Cowboy jersey’s in the closet and took the tag off their brand new 9ers jerseys.

Sorry but 1-5 =/= playoff contender
I'm not arguing with the record but I believe that the Vikings can win the NFCN or be a wildcard. The Bears and the Packers aren't that great. The Lions are the favorite but Vikes are still in the mix. Of course, that remains to be seen. But 3 of the Vikings losses I think have been 1 score affairs. Them getting a WC spot. In conclusion, YOU ARE RIGHT, but I think the Vikings are gonna be in the mix when it's all said and done.
