So Tepper promoted Special Teams Coordinator, Chris Tabor, to interim Head Coach after firing Reich. Recently, the NY Giants requested to interview Tabor for their opening at Special Teams Coordinator. Tepper denied that request. That position has now been filled and yesterday Tepper fires Tabor from their staff. What a bullshirt move. Chris has been considered a top 3 ST coordinator for over a decade. I hope there is an opening for him because he will be at the top of the list. It’s just so late in the game now l’m not sure what opportunities he will have after being denied interviews.

I played for Chris in the mid 90’s. To say we are still close would be a lie, but for a year he was my coordinator and I was his QB. We got to know each other really well. We talked multiple times every day and worked out with receivers during the summer. I know the character, drive, passion, and knowledge he possesses.

So everyone knows Tepper is a douche, but when he pulls these stunts that affect and hurt people you know personally, it really sucks. My opinion is he has no business owning a team. He is an absolute embarrassment to the league and I can’t imagine any experienced quality coaches wanting to work for him as his treatment of them only gets worse and worse.

YOur friend is getting paid for being fired and with his success he will end up paid better in a better environment and Tepper shows again he's a douche.

Win win!

I just worry if he is forced to miss a season, with the way things are constantly changing and evolving schematically, that being out of the loop for a season or two could be detrimental to how valuable franchises perceive you.

Tepper is the new Snyder and the Saints, Falcons, and Bucs will benefit from it for the next few decades.
Very true. I’m sure it’s a blessing to get out from under him and a blessing to the other teams in the division that this guy continues to show his character which will most certainly never benefit his organization.

How many DC positions are open? Sounds like Tabor is well enough respected to have a shot with a new hire.
He was a QB when he played and was a really good offensive mind before the NFL. Special teams was his shot to break into the NFL and is where he has excelled. I think it’s either Special Teams coordinator or head coach and very few special teams guys get a shot at head coach. He has been thought enough of to survive several organizations now that cleaned house and was kept on board and even had the opportunity to be an interim head coach on a couple of occasions.

Not enough experience running an NFL offense or defense, imo. Not saying he couldn’t do it, but it would be a gamble with more experienced people available with those duties. He is one of those guys that people love playing for. Very focused, enthusiastic and intense.

I’d love for him to wind up here, but we are in good shape with our special teams staff, best I can tell.

Was Teeper a minority owner in Washington?

I am sorry for NobleSaint's friend.

Spare a thought for how many people David Tepper probably has treated like that during his career specializing in investments in alleged "distressed companies" at Goldman Sachs and his hedge fund, particularly the people laid off at the companies he bought controlling interest in who neither have buyout contracts nor whose stories make the media.
