In their defense the Katrina season is a pretty extreme circumstance and out of the leagues control.

Scheduling a team to start 7 out of 10 on the road is kinda crazy, if that was our schedule people here would be ready to burn down the league offices.

On the other side of the coin, that means the Giants will play what, 5 or 6 of their last 7 games at home? They'll have the least amount of travel when the NFL's "war of attrition" is really kicking in.

As I recall, the following season the Saints had a HOME game in the Meadowlands against the New York Giants. Don't remember how the league explained that one.

That week 2 to 8 stretch is 5 away games in 7 weeks. Yeesh.

The Giants, of all teams, should've taken the high road on that...especially considering what they went through 4 years earlier with 9-11.
