The rock band America had their last major Top 40 hit, "You Can Do Magic" in 1982, but these Pelicans aren't any one-trick pony, smoke-and-mirrors Disneyland attraction. It's the result of hard work, dedication, intense amount of focus, concentrating and building up the positive dynamics and keeping a good aura on the team during this long regular-season, being glad and content when we won but still believing we're capable of achieving more but not letting the inevitable minor injuries and slumps effect our mental and psychological edge. That's our magic and it's certainly not a product built on illusory, shifting sands. It's hard-won and achieved through pain, sacrifice, conflicts in past seasons and occasional frustration.

That makes solid, dependable teams winners, year in and year out, albeit with a decent amount of fortuitous luck aid us in a few wins occasionally. This organization has just reached a milestone where we've had consecutive winning seasons for the first time since 2007-2009.

Once again, my gratitude and appreciation goes to Taker for a outstanding, superb game-day Pelicans thread. Lets continue our winning streak and strive to get closer in reaching 50 wins.

It's the home stretch! Geaux Pels!

I will be watching closely to see if the Pels can close them out and play clutch mins when needed against a top 5 team in their conference with a stud player like Paolo.

Agreed plus there is a difference between being 5th place in the East and 5th place in the West. Other than the top slot, every team in the West has a better record than their East counterpart. If the Pels were in the East, they would likely be in second or third place as their record is 16-8 against that conference
