Seems there is general acceptance that next years schedule is one of the more difficult in the league.

While there’s no doubt this years was one of the easiest…..

I’m not that sold on next years being crazy.

Obviously you never know each year…..

But I only see two games that I consider really tough.

At Dallas, at KC, as the two.

At GB late in the year can be tough, but they are a .500 team ….Cleveland and LAR might be good…..play them both at home.

And Wash, Den, LV, NYG, LAC……these are just teams, nothing crazy.

And our 6 games vs the South which isn’t devastating at all.

Philly might be good, but they suck big time recently and want their coach fired.

I really don’t think this schedule is too daunting, the biggest obstacle is our own organization

I believe someone posted that next year we have the easiest schedule in the league again. It’s harder than this year but compared to the rest of the league… it’s the easiest.

That doesn’t make sense based on the opponents listed.

Also we will hopefully get a difference maker or two in the draft, have a handful of really good UDFA, Maybe sign a FA or two, and be a better team this year than last year.

I believe the Panthers x 2 element skews our schedule strength significantly but yes, this is accurate.

Im not sure how much playing the panthers twice affects it since they don’t play themselves twice and they have the 4th (tied for second?) easiest schedule. Only .014 harder than ours is playing them twice.

Second easiest behind only the Falcons. Mostly because our division is terrible.

Good point. It could also be the fact that we are the only division with a single digit win champion.

I’m not buying that SOS. We struggled mightily against Tyson Bagent and Josh Dobbs. How will we fare against Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert and Jalen Hurts? Badly is my opinion, since we have who we have at HC. We won’t win 5 games next year, and by retaining this staff in a year where good candidates are out there (*cough*Vrabel*cough*), we’ve essentially punted on 2024.

Most teams in the NFL with the exception of a few are close to each other so I never put much stock into SOS. Plus there is so much change year to year. However I think the actual schedule itself matters such as do you have a road game before the Thursday night game or have to go on the road for a Thursday night game, when do you play any "cold weather" teams etc. Those are the things that matter more so than who you are playing.

Denver will beat the brakes off of us.

You know, we're up to 7 head coaches fired this year. This could be a lean year to try to replace a coach. I would have loved to get the guy from Oregon( Lanning) but he's staying. If Lane Kiffin wins next year maybe he will move. Would love to see his offense at the pro level. Fast, hurry up, no rest for the defense. Pressure and more pressure. Offense is what we're used to and I want an offensive coach with some new wrinkles.
