N/S NFL Approves Titans New Stadium (1 Viewer)

It will be the league's smallest stadium with a seating capacity of 60,000. The stadium it will be replacing is only 25 years old. I can remember the discussion 20 years about a new stadium in New Orleans. Proponents of replacing the Superdome were pointing to Nashville's new stadium as the reason we needed a new stadium. Are they doing this for football games or for music events?

Another one has come and gone, yet the ol’ gal still stands tall and gallant as ever.

That now makes 9 stadiums (6 domes, 3 outdoor) that were full-time NFL venues that have been built after the Superdome and were either demolished and replaced or the team moved away. Will become 10 once that dump known as FedEx Field is bulldozed.

after looking at the pictures for the new stadium, the only thing that I see that is different from the others is from the outside it doesnt look like a stadium looks like an apartment complex or some kind of business building... not a fan of making it indoors so gonna miss the snow games....

Where's the new stadium going to be located? Isn't the current one within walking distance to Broadway and the bar area of Nashville.

I wonder how much is being paid by taxpayers to build it.

I didn’t realize it was only 25 years old, I went there 20 years ago and thought it was a dump already. It’s literally located next to a landfill as well. They’ve needed a new spot for a while.

I remember when that stadium first came out back in 99. That was also Ricky Williams's rookie season with the Saints.

The Superdome is as important to New Orleans as Lambeau Field is to Green Bay. And with the upgrades which have been done over the years, and continue to be done, the Dome will continue to be a high quality facility. Big thanks again to Paul Tagliabue for keeping our team in the Dome following 2005!

I was there a few years ago. I thought it was a nice place. I didn't see any dump, but wasn't looking for one... I like most stadiums that are within walking distance to a downtown where you can go and hang out and eat/drink before and after a game.

To each his own I guess. I didn’t think it was in a particularly nice area but then again that was 20 years ago
