The Superdome is as important to New Orleans as Lambeau Field is to Green Bay. And with the upgrades which have been done over the years, and continue to be done, the Dome will continue to be a high quality facility. Big thanks again to Paul Tagliabue for keeping our team in the Dome following 2005!It will be the league's smallest stadium with a seating capacity of 60,000. The stadium it will be replacing is only 25 years old. I can remember the discussion 20 years about a new stadium in New Orleans. Proponents of replacing the Superdome were pointing to Nashville's new stadium as the reason we needed a new stadium. Are they doing this for football games or for music events?
I was there a few years ago. I thought it was a nice place. I didn't see any dump, but wasn't looking for one... I like most stadiums that are within walking distance to a downtown where you can go and hang out and eat/drink before and after a game.I didn’t realize it was only 25 years old, I went there 20 years ago and thought it was a dump already. It’s literally located next to a landfill as well. They’ve needed a new spot for a while.
Isn't the current one within walking distance to Broadway and the bar area of Nashville.
To each his own I guess. I didn’t think it was in a particularly nice area but then again that was 20 years agoI was there a few years ago. I thought it was a nice place.
