NFL.com's ranking of all 59 starting quarterbacks from the 2024 NFL season (4 Viewers)

Without ever even getting to the Saints QBs, this list has Jared Goff and Baker Mayfield over Patrick Mahommes. And I'm not saying anything bad about Goff and Baker, but that is just an insane notion.

I think it can be reasonably argued that those guys played better last season than Mahomes did. It's not a ranking of their worth on the open market or career performance. Mahomes had more INT's than TD's at one point midseason...he simply didn't play to his usual standard.

it's based off of the 2024 season. Not the past. Mahomes did not play that well this year.

Can't argue with ranking, I think that's pretty high for him:D

Wow. DeShaun Watson took what looked-like-a-HOF career and torpedoed it.
Without the degradation of character, I'd really love to have failed in life to the sum of $188,762,978.

Who am I kidding, for that kind of money, I'd be willing to have pretty much any vile subject matter attached to my name.
As long as I didn't actually have to do it. And even some of that has negotiable points.

Some of these rankings are questionable at best, but hey...it's the offseason...

SPOILER ALERT: Jake Haener isn't dead last, and a nuclear missile that we narrowly avoided took that honor instead.
From the article….I thought we couldn’t release him this season because it would cost too much? This says significant savings?

“Kellen Moore's arrival as coach might turn things around for Carr and the Saints -- that is, if Carr is still on the roster. New Orleans can save a significant chunk of cap space if they choose to move on from Carr in March (with a post-June 1 designation).”

Baker was available for cheap. A big miss by us. Let’s hope our new coaches have an eye for talent.
This is more than a little 20-20 hindsight

If we had signed Baker this board would have exploded

I seem to recall many threads clowning Tampa for signing him

Don’t remember many saying what a great move it was the Bucs made and we were going to regret passing on mayfield

No disrespect to Baker and I'm not a Carr apologist, but I still think they're pretty even as players. Same tier at least. Mayfield has had a much better go there in Tampa. Better line, running game, TE, and a full cast of dynamic receivers. Add better coaching, more stable environment, and much much better overall team health.
If Baker came here and Carr had gone to Tampa, I could see this same conversation being had now with the names swapped.

That being said, Baker has proven himself to be legit and low maintenance. So either he has grown as a player and a person, or all the drama in Cleveland was... well Cleveland. Good on him.
