Looks like it’s coming April 2nd. Also confirmed to play original Switch games as well as exclusive Switch 2 games. That’s about it on the announcement.

The Nintendo Direct is April 2nd where they'll reveal launch games, pricing, features, specs etc.

I expect the console will be released either June or in the Fall

The sooner, the better. I'm ready for a new console and my son is ready to get my Switch OLED 😉

The specs have kind of been leaked already:
8 inch LCD screen (not OLED)
12Gb ram vs 4Gb in SW1
265Gb storage vs 32Gb in SW1
Nvidia T239 SOC
Uses DLSS (faux frame generation to boost FPS)

^ This is definitely more powerful that Switch 1 (but SW1 was underpowered at launch, using an ancient Tegra X1 SOC).

Some think the switch 2 is basically using much of the 'switch pro' hardware (before it got leaked in a data breach, and nintendo decided to cancel it and proceed w/ switch 2 instead)

Supposedly preorders will be April 2nd. If the past is anything to go by, bots/scalpers running automated programs, will buy up most of the inventory and then flip them on ebay etc.

Nintendo has sworn that they’ve learned their lesson from the shortages of their last few console launches and inventory won’t be a problem this time around

We’ll see

Any predictions?

I know a lot of people are predicting a June release I'm still thinking Sept or Oct

I think there will be a pretty robust and diverse launch line up

Mario Kart 9 will be one of them

One surprise game from dormant franchise fans have been clamoring for like F Zero, Punch Out, Star Fox, Star Tropics, Star Wars Rogue Squadron etc.

One surprise port - I'm hoping for the new Indiana Jones game

Legacy eshop/online ready to go with 100+ NES, SNES N64 games ready to go versus the 2-4 the like to release every month or so
