Anyone know of or interested in possibly getting together some sort of North Shore Bus Charter to the Home Games? I went and got a quote from a Bus Charter online for the TB game, here's the breakdown...
# Depart From Mandeville, LA, 09/07/2008 09:00 AM TO New Orleans, LA, 70112
# Depart From New Orleans, LA, 09/07/2008 05:00 PM TO Mandeville, LA, 70448
Total Cost = $1,789.59
Includes a refundable (by bus company) damange deposit of $500.00
Bus holds 56 people, so if you don't count the deposit, cost per fan = $23.03!
So for $23.03...
1) Don't have to pay for parking ($20.00)
2) Don't have to pay for Causeway Toll ($2/3.00)
3) Don't have to pay for gas! ($10-15?)
4) Get delivered to Superdome front door (no walking) (Priceless)
5) Get to drink all the way to the game! (Even more priceless)
6) Can sober up on the way home! (But of course!)
Now granted you can take more than one person and split the above costs (driving yourself), but I really like #4-#6.
Is it just me or doesn't this seem like a great idea? Anyone know of possibly a corporate or small business sponsor? I think lots of people on the Northshore would go for this; thoughts?
BTW that was my first Google returned bus charter website, there may be cheaper ones out there...
