It really felt like the stars had aligned for us to take advantage of the Falcons loss to get within a game of the NFC South lead and it's crushing to have us fall flat while losing Taysom Hill.

Now that we've got that out of the way -

Until mathematically eliminated, there's still a chance. Falcons have some tough games. Buccaneers have a slightly easier schedule but Baker is still Baker.

It looks like things are trending properly for the Offensive Line and we could get Kendre Miller and Bub Means back this week. I've really enjoyed seeing players step up during Rizzi's tenure and I'm excited to see what these guys can do with different coaching.

Until that fat lady sings, I'm going to pumped to see what we can do every single week.

And, no, I don't care about draft picks when winning is perfectly possible.

Enjoy.

Im just glad we get Kendre Miller back this week for us to remember how badly we need a RB2 that isn't named Kendre Miller.

Im tired of this whole division. I honestly would prefer 1 team to just be dominant. Preferably us, but that's pending Loomis' continued employment. He is our new franchise anchor.

But I digress. I would prefer 1 team to be dominant so that the other 3 aren't living in this bizarre race to the middle to see who can make the dumbest FA signings or draft trade to give them "that 1 piece" they need to win the division. If there was SOMETHING for the other 3 teams to chase, you might see some progress. Its been so bad for so long, that its basically like watching 3 hours of football every Sundary inside a Brazen Bull torture device. None of the 4 teams even have their eyes on being SB contenders. Every year its who can back their way into a division title without trying too hard to win it.

This past Sunday for example. The Falcons throw the ball to the other team all day and lose. Then we have a chance to make up and game, and we blow it and lose. Then, Tampa and Carolina see that ATL and NO both lost, so neither one of them wants to be the team that wins. Neither team can figure out how to lose in regulation, So they go into overtime to fend off a possible win. Its just infuriating watching how absolutely awful this division is.

If we added the NFC South to nearly any other division in football, creating an 8 team division, the NFC South teams would be the bottom 4.

But sure, we aren't mathematically eliminated. Its just a race to see which of the 4 teams will be the least efficient at losing.

It's pretty bad.

I wonder if Underhill & all the others here, would be so enamored with losing out for a better draftpick if HE was fired because of a losing season?

I am usually in the "anything can happen if you get to the playoffs" camp, but not this year, with this team. The offensive talent is all but spent without Taysom. Sure there's Kamara but you can't rely on one player to do all the work. I hope they manage to lose to the Giants and or Raiders so that they get the best possible draft position (without purposely trying to tank).
