Anyone watch that OSU vs TN game? I thought Howard was impressive and the offense looked prostyle with lots of motion. I looked up his scouting report and he was projected as a UDFA which was surprising to say the least.

Anyone think he could be a real player and that he's a late bloomer? The lights were brightest and he executed that offense to near perfection.

He benefits from having aNFL talent in throughout the roster facing a lot very good college players.

The reason osu QBs typically don’t make it in the nfl is because they don’t get developed properly in college. They pick the most talented guys and run with it. Howard isn’t one of those talented guys and still didn’t get the development

No, he got benched at K State. Out of all the OSU QBs the past 8 or so years, he has been the least impressive

I'm an OSU fan and I wouldn't take him until the late rounds or UDFA if he is still available. Having said that, he is worth taking a flyer on. He has all of the physical tools, he's fairly mobile, and he's massive. He was asked to run a lot at K-State and really wasn't exposed to high level passing concepts until this year, with fairly good results overall. Yes, he always walks out onto the field with better talent than the opposing team and struggles to get going sometimes, but the upside is there. On top of that, he seems to be a really good dude and carries himself well. He'll make some good money as a quality backup at worst.

I don’t think he’s special but I am for taking QBs high in the draft until one works out. Maybe not him but we need more QBs, Purdy showed quickly to be an NFL QB, keep turning over those rocks. I am in favor of using the shotgun approach, draft draft and draft QBs until we find the right one. Teams don’t go to Superbowls with bad QBs.

O-line and D-line should be the primary draft concerns for the next two years. Everything else will work as long as a team has the trenches taken care of. As I have stated before, Tom Brady in his prime would get killed behind the current O-line in New Orleans.

I prefer Jackson Arnold who just transferred to Auburn. I'd like him in the 2026 draft.

This.

He’s not good.
I watched the entire playoff game against Tennessee. I assure you, he's good. Maybe he's just a late bloomer. This is the age where players take the biggest strides in development, is it not? I'm trying to tell y'all, he looked polished and capable, and it was on a big stage in a high pressure spot.

Here's an article highlighting that performance, complete with breakdowns of his throws and percentages of playaction

Just watching him play this year, I would think he's a 3rd or 4th round talent. He might go earlier, cause this year is a pretty weak draft. I don't think there's a single 1st round QB going this year.....but there'll be 3 or 4 drafted.
