Right, this was the same knock on Brees, he supposedly didn’t have an NFL.I called this a few months ago. His arm strength isn't going to be an issue. Does he have a Jeff George rocket arm? No, but he's got just enough to be good. I think he can be a little better in looking off safeties and not get so locked in to one player. He has great touch on his deep ball and he's a fluid guy in the pocket.
This ^That dude has NFL teams convincing themselves that he's a better prospect than he is and reaching for him in the 1st written all over him. His stats are great because he runs that Kiffin offense that does not translate to the NFL. Every decent QB that plays in that system in college looks good.
I was one of those back before Thanksgiving saying I felt his throws floated too much. Since then it doesn’t seem as big of an issue. I still think it’s a concern unless he can process his reads and anticipate throws as well as Brees. He gets a lot of flack but he has the tools of a top prospect. I'm not really surprised to see in this class.
It might be a solid comp. Polished and a pretty good processor that can also add just enough of a threat with the running/scrambling. Nix has been allowed to go downfield more lately and his aDot his risen, but he's very advanced at taking the easier stuff that Payton schemes up. I haven't formed any concrete opinions on Dart, yet.Dart could probably be ok with a good NFL offensive coach calling plays a la Bo nix and Payton.
This ^^^^^exactly. This is an even weaker QB class since Carson Beck not coming out. Someone will reach for Dart. Don’t see franchise QB or elite from him. That dude has NFL teams convincing themselves that he's a better prospect than he is and reaching for him in the 1st written all over him. His stats are great because he runs that Kiffin offense that does not translate to the NFL. Every decent QB that plays in that system in college looks good.
