I made a bet that we’d get to the Super Bowl, during the preseason. I’d never done that and have never since. I was laughed at all season, until I wasn’t lol. Guy tried to double or nothing during the Super Bowl and I was too chicken to do it lol.

I remember it like it was yesterday, what an amazing year. What made it even more special for me is that it’s the year I met my now wife so it was the first football season that she watched with me, so 2009 is incredibly special to me.

I'm more annoyed he didnt win the MVP during his epic, record-breaking 2011 season. That was probably Brees' best season, statistically, and in terms of dominance, focus, concentration, and top-tier performances as a future, HOF QB, its hard to find another season here in New Orleans, although some will nobly try, where he was that deadly.

Even though we won the SB in 2009, I also believe our 2011 squad was better, more accomplished all-around roster.
