There weren't many empty seats for the first time since football started. It was so obvious this congregation needed some prayers today in south Louisiana after the football week we all had.

It was also good to gain some perspective by going to church. Many of us attach ourselves to our teams and we win and lose with them. Today was a chance to be grateful for all the wonderful things we have in our lives which are important: health, our families, our relationships, etc.

It helped me come back to center which is what I needed after last night. Today I spent the day with my Mom and Dad. What a wonderful day

Still battling this Saints loss. Then reading and hearing about how our fans were treated there makes it worse.

It's funny, because I noticed our congregation was much larger yesterday than most Sundays, and I couldn't figure out why.

Football explains it!

Their regular church on Poydras street was closed this Sunday so they had to settle for yours as a backup.

Yeah, I hear it's filled with Saints, no? Sounds like Bobby Hebert.

Moved on...God cares that we care but He don't care about football!

Amen. My wife and I are diehard Saints fan but we are much bigger fans of Christ.
