I am watching the Panthers/Bengals game and while i am sure this has happened before, I just do not recall seeing it.

There wes not a full possession for each of the two teams in the first quarter. The panthers scored on their first drive and the Bengals first drive was still going on when the first quarter ended. I am watching the game working out at the house, looked up, and all of a sudden the quarter was over.

That has to be mighty rare where each team doesn't get a full possession in the first quarter. Imagine how dull a game would be if each team only had one possession per quarter.

Long possession drives are boring. Unless its your team doing the drive, I guess.

Remember that game-killer we had in '06 against the Eagles where Mcnabb scored and then Drew took the team down the field in an 8 minute + drive to score and win? Mcnabb was just on the sidelines in disbelief he didnt get another shot at it. I enjoyed it then.

3rd quarter of the 49ers-Bears game in week 2. SF opening up quarter witha 14-play, 9 minute drive that ended in a field goal. Bears then responded with a 13-play, 7.5 minute drive that ended in a touchdown at the start of the 4th quarter

Like I said, I am sure its happened before, I just dont recall a first quarter like this. I would guess there have been a few, but it has to be rare.

Great run by Bernard. Bengals up 14-7. The announcers are right, this Panther defense doesnt look as good as last years.

Unfortunately for us, our defense doesn't look quite the same either.

Thanks Andy. The Carolina offense can't do anything, and you give them a short field.

There is nothing like watching Cam Newton celebrate in the endzone doing his Superman thing while the offensive lineman who threw the block to spring him is rolling on the ground holding his knee.

Newton off celebrating his TD while his teammate is lying on the field.

Will someone please kick that guy's teeth in?

Now 24-17 Panthers. I should have known better than to pick the Bengals in survivor.:jpshakehead:
