Actually, further down in the column he predicts that the Chiefs will win the Super Bowl 37-27. He also predicted that Mahomes would win the MVP again and Brees was not included in the 3 contenders for the MVP award this year but Jacoby Brissett was included. Terrible.

Everybody laughed at her.

All the pundits thought she was crazy thinking that a first year starter, Patrick Mahomes could take Alex Smith's Chiefs to the Super Bowl.

I think the chiefs are in for a bit of a sophomore slump this year. Total overhaul on defense but more importantly in leadership. We all know how that shakes out from when we did the exact same thing because of a bad defense that couldn't keep up with our amazing offense.

Their offense will still be amazing and will carry them to the division title and playoffs again, but I wouldn't be suprised to see another conference round exit or even division.

I think they over reacted and let their whole defense go and totally changed the whole system. I think their scheme was fine, it had been for years. They just didnt have the players to run it anymore. They had a great pass rush and a solid front 7, but just god awful secondary. Even still, they were one Dee Ford roughing the passer call away from the superbowl.

Idk just a gut feeling. Mahomes will still be amazing though. I don't think he will regress at all other than his yardage will go down. Teams arent going to let Hill catch multiple 70+ yard TDs this year.

Just think how crushed King is w/all those demanding his resignation, expecting apologies & general disregard here!
He must be losing sleep knowing that some Saints fans are still pissed about HIS OPINION, concerning anything.
The man is still an intelligent, thoughtful & "often enough" accurate writer.
It's a damn good thing none of the armchair GM's here have ever made the wrong call or believed the crap shoveled by "unconfirmed" sources.

Her projection was almost right. Analytics can't take into effect subpar referees.

If you were referencing what I posted: please don't take what I said seriously. My response was tongue in cheek.
However, while I don't think Peter King will , "lose any sleep" over what N.O. fans think, I'm quite certain that his articles attempt to elicit a response from Saints fans. He's been around long enough to know that Saints fans are some of the most passionate fans in the NFL. I guess trolling Saints fans for a response is one of the ways he makes himself feel relevant as a reporter.
