Assumming we beat Rams/Seahawks next Saturday



Do we play the Failcons if the Eagles beat the Packers? Or do we have to go to Chicago

You are correct. If Eagles win they go to Chicago, and we go to Atlanta, but if GB wins, it's the other way around.

My understanding is that Chicago as #2 seed will have to play the winner of next week's games that has the best record. As both Philly and Green Bay have a worse record than you, you would play the Bears if you win. Atlanta as #1 seed will play next week's winner with the worst record.

wrong... it's by seed. lowest remaining seed goes to ATL... highest remaining seed goes to CHI... so if Philly and NO wins as the OP is suggesting... the divisional games would be

3) Eagles @ 2) Bears
5) Saints @ 1) Falcons

Records don't matter in the playoffs, its all about the seeding.
